2009: Where it all began
Heuristic Healing opened its doors in Washington Heights, believing neighbors on Chicago's South Side deserve care close to home and never out of reach because of cost.
2014: Expanding our reach
As word spread through the neighborhood, HQ2 added substance use services alongside mental health care and brought on licensed counselors who reflect the community they serve.
2020: Answering a new kind of need
When in-person care became harder to reach, we moved to telehealth, meeting clients by phone and video so no one lost access to care during a difficult year.
2025: Meeting you where you are
Today, HQ2 serves individuals, couples, and families across Chicago's South Side entirely by phone or video, with Medicaid, Medicare, and uninsured clients all welcome.
2026: Looking ahead
We're growing our team of licensed clinicians and deepening our roots in Washington Heights, with one goal: making sure every neighbor who needs care can find it here.
