Getting ready for
your first session
Your first visit is simply a conversation. These three small steps help it feel easy.

Find a quiet spot where you can talk freely
A bedroom, a parked car, or anywhere you feel at ease. Headphones help if other people are nearby.
Get your device ready a few minutes early
Charge your phone, tablet, or computer, and keep your ID and insurance card nearby. Stuck? Call us.
Come as you are there are no wrong answers
Your counselor will ask how you're doing and what brought you in. Share only what feels right.
